Ayaneo has unveiled its newest Retro Reshape lineup, which includes handhelds with AMD Ryzen 8000 APUs, an AM10S Mini PC, and an RX 7600M XT GPU dock.

With AMD Ryzen 8000 APUs and Radeon RX 7000 GPUs, Ayaneo’s Retro Reshape Lineup Features a Variety of Mini PCs, Handhelds, and Graphics Docks.

As there are numerous announcements, let us begin at the top. First up is the Ayaneo Retro Mini PC AM01S, which now sports the new Ryzen 8000 APU series instead of the outdated Ryzen 3000/5000 APUs. Along with these more contemporary design elements, the Mini PC also gets a flip screen, dual HDMI, dual Type-A, dual USB4 ports, and dual 2.5G Ethernet LAN ports.

The AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS or Ryzen 7 8845HS APU with up to 8 cores and 16 threads, Radeon 780M “RDNA 3” iGPUs, and a 65W TDP are the available internal specifications for the Ayaneo AM01S Mini PC. As we have seen in other Mini PCs with comparable tests, the dual-fan cooling solution should be sufficient to support a much higher TDP, such as 84–90W.

The AMD Ryzen 8000 update was also applied to the Ayaneo AIR 1S handheld, which now has the Ryzen 7 8840U. A 5.5″ 1080p OLED display, a single fan with an integrated heat pipe solution for cooling that can dissipate up to 25W of heat, up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory, and up to 4 TB of M.2 (2280) SSD support are among the specs that have not changed—only the APU. The 405-gram design that houses everything is lightweight.

The Starship AG01 graphics dock, a retro-themed graphics dock with the AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT GPU, is another unusual offering from the manufacturer. The graphics dock features an RGB spiral light on the front and a premium metal body with a strong cooling system. The dock comes in Nebula Red and Interstellar Gray color schemes. There’s also a customized nameplate on the front that adds an extra layer of personalization to the device.

The sides of the Ayaneo Starship AG01 graphics dock feature a large exhaust vent, while the back features a range of IO connectors, including dual HDMI, dual DP, a USB Type-A, and a Type-C port. There’s also a 2.5 GbE LAN port, making it quite a versatile docking solution. The flip side has a panel for tool-less SSD installation, which is a bonus.

Based on the Navi 33 “RDNA 3” graphics core, the AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT GPU has an 8 GB GDDR6 memory that runs over a 128-bit wide bus interface, 32 compute units, 2048 shader units, 32 MB of Infinity cache, and a maximum clock speed of 2615 MHz. One can adjust the TGP from 75 to 120 watts. We have seen similar graphics docks from other companies in the past that also featured the same chip, such as the GPD G1 and the OneXGPU.

Ayaneo has also unveiled the Pocket Micro handheld, the 45W PD fast-charging mode-equipped Retro Power bank with dual USB Type-C ports (12000mAh), and the new Pocket DMG mini handheld, which is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon G3X Gen2 CPU. Ayaneo is expected to launch these products in the coming months, so stay tuned for more information regarding prices, availability and configurations.
